took a different rout on the GPR finish
Okay i myself am guilty of the, Nahhhh just leave it! That rust and scratches will get there on their own by use in the field! Well, that always turned out to be BS for me due to my carefulness with my rifles.
Decided to hell with it, im gonna make this GPR look like its trail worn. The metal parts that is. I spent 45 minutes wrapping the barrel with thin string and once that was done, took it into the laundry room and sprayed it down till the string was soaked with bleach. Threw some of the small parts into a puddle and then set them to the side.
I plan on a lightly pitted/ antique finish on the metal parts.
Going to give the barrel at least an hour and check the pattern. Already have almost 40 into it so we'll see how another 20 does.
