Here's a photo of my "Yankee" deer from back around Thanksgiving at my sister & bro-in-law's farm in upstate New York.
I know this thread called for Virginians and Virginia deer, but, sorry... I didn't get a VA deer this year. I had to go up to New York, hunt on a Sunday, and get a deer!
5 point buck (He was a 6 pointer, but he got the crap beat out of him by a bigger buck, and actually broke off the front tine (G3) on his right side antler). Rifle: Savage .308 with Bushnell 3-9x40 scope. Distance: 110-120 yards. Result: Bang!...Flop...DOA right there in his tracks.
