RE: what is your rifle sighted in for
It' s obvious from the variety of responses that folks are hunting in a wide variety of environments.
I hunt elk in Colorado and the opportunity is there to shoot an animal in heavy timber at close range or across a drainage.
I use the point blank method of sighting in. My .300 RUM is sighted in three and a half inches high at 100 yards which puts it dead on at 330 yards. This means that my 180 grain NP will impact within a five inch radius of point of aim from the muzzle out to 370 yards.
