Default Ulster County 3C report

Went up by Olive for Bow opener on my property there.
So much wind and rain on opener decided to hunt from ground.
Saw a six pointer, busted when drawing back my bow. No other deer seen. I hunt timber and it seems everything is still in the lower country. Conditions of woods, tons of acorns, no hickory, walnuts or chestnuts. Only Acorns but lots of em. Coyotes, tons of them. Stting in my makeshift blind and thought someone set up a digital caller next to me at dusk. Actually a little frightening, hear so many yipping and howlingfor about 30 seconds and then hearing them moving through the woods everywhere and then they were gone. Didn't even see one of them. heard them week before opener also but they were a bit distant. This is the worst I have ever seen them and I'm thinking they may be why I saw only one deer. Take care and good luck to all. May do a night hunt for them when the moon gets a bit darker.
