Its about my favorite 45cal bullet for a reduced recoil load. The one we settled on for my friend's son was 80grs of BH209 but its in a bit larger rifle.
The load shoots great and the bullet mushroomed extremely well. In wet phone books it left one of the largest holes of any we tried.
I saw a few threads where the GD was put thru the torture tests thats one reason i bought them.impressive bullet for a fraction of the cost of the barnes i have been shooting.presently the wife is shooting 75 gr 777 260 gr knight bullets that cam with the rifle. i already talked to her about using 80 - 85 gr 777 with the GD bullets. shes new to the sport and i have tried very hard to make her feel comfortable with what shes shooting. actually at the 50 yd range she is shooting excellent.thanks for the info........
