Please tell me more about this gun.

I just got this gun from my father-in-law and I know that it is a Mowrey. On top of the barrel it says 1776 Bicentennial 690.

I know that it is a 50 cal. and is in really good shape. What is it worth? should I shoot it or hang it on the wall?
