Browning makes a 7mm-08 very reliable in the BLR and one of my favorites the .450 marlin.

If you go with a marlin look to the .444 and the .450 in the longer versions 1895' s
Hornady has come out with a Heavy Mag ammo for the .444 wich makes this gun very impresive.

Also Vapdog is right no better lever made IMO than the handsome Modle 99 by Savage( I hope one day they reserect the 99) I would look to the .308 or 284 win.(hard to find).
But for now I would go BLR.(They make this gun in alot of different calibers)
