Question for Rack-attack.....
Rack, you seem to have a great deal of experience with hunting the beds. I' ve really just been turned on to this little secret. I' ve been hunting beds pretty hard for about 3 yrs and have had some success. Here is my question.... I hunt a 4,000 acre block of low lying river bottom hardwoods. 1/3 of which is fairly open terrain with thickets serving as bedding areas. However, the remaining 2/3 is really thick, with no one area being any thicker than the other. There will be sections that are say 100-200 acres of extremely thick cover that the deer bed in. Ok, when you have such large sections that could be potential bedding areas, how do pin point where you would want to concentrate your hunting? Other than busting the beds during the offseason, is there a specific method you use? Thanks.
