I've dealt with this for the last several years with my neighbor. It got pretty bad for a while when he hung several stands on the proper line and he screamed at my brother for shooting deer close to his property, not even on his property. Eventually he finally started hunting the rest of his property and not on the line all the time, which helped both of us. His stands were in horrible locations and spooked most of the deer in the area. And by ignoring him for couple years it never really turned into anything serious and now we both get to enjoy hunting more. Just don't make a real big deal about it, don't willingly let him shoot deer off your property, but don't do anything like hang a stand right there as well or anything else.
