As far as I know BB Dougie spreads out with his harvests. He got a couple at treasure lake and a few with dmaps.Interesting you brought this up.Our camp stopped shooting doe a few years back when we could see what the results of HR were going to be.It has kept our area alive and still kicking but each year it gets alittle worse. We know the area very well and if the five or six of us popped a doe each year it would really be grim.I'm not trying to brag but we get a pretty good idea of what deer we saved each year. For instance a group of doe we all passed on made it up to the last day of ml.Now they gotta dodge the poachers and yotes. On the other hand we also save a few does for a few who harvest two in a year.Again not trying to brag but if we would cut loose and harvest multiple doe in a season we could really put a damper on the place.
To put it in perspective to the regular ground grunt hunter, now a days seeing 3 or 4 deer in a day is a damn good day.We definately could change that to 1 or none a day.
But you know what?It shouldn't be this way. With the access and habitat the anterless allocations should be cut in this particular area. That should be the PGC's job to make those changes.
