Default Elk hunting Colorado

Looking for any advice you guys could offer on elk hunting Colorado. We've been out a few times and are planning on another trip the second week of rifle 2010. We stay in Baggs Wy and hunt just north of Craig Co. Typically we hunt serviceberry mountain and Routt national forrest but didn't know if anyone had any tips on some possible other areas to check out when we're out there. Not looking for a spot or anything specific but maybe BLM land or something. Do they also have tresspass fees you can pay for private land? If so, how do you locate them and how can you tell which ones are better than others. Just looking for something a little different this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
