My Remington Model 700 has a 3+1 magazine, as do most other magnum bolt actions. Magazine capacity has nothing to do with country of origin. What suggests European manufacture is the straight-pull bolt action. They're not very popular in the U.S. and no U.S. manufacturers make a straight pull centerfire. The only straight pull bolt action that is even remotely American (in name only) is the Browning T-bolt which is a rimfire rifle. Straight pulls are much more popular in Europe, with the Blaser R-93 being the most common sporting rifle so configured, and the K-31 Swiss being a now obsolete military design.
