We used 6 of them on a couple thousand acres of property that we leased from farmers back in MO. The farmer did a ton of habitat development though. They worked incredibly. You always knew when you got into a surrogator covey because there might be as many as 60 birds in it. They are VERY successful at having very low (if any) die off of chicks and the birds once released survive very well. He did have excellent habitat though and did a lot of predator control. If your farms don't have habitat it's pretty tough to get sustainably high populations though. If you can get at least some decent cover though it will definitely help your numbers.
