In my case there is no movement at all. Remember the 15/16ths is 1/16th less than the 1" and when you duvide that in half for each side of the barrel - it comes out to 1/32" per side. And of course the bottom flat is locked against the floor of the barrel channel by the wedge and the rear of the barrel is locked in place in the tang.

That is true - I even cut down the weight of my hunting pack this year...
