These guys are right, the chance of getting a 10/22 that is accurate from the factory is a gamble. I have several of them and only one of them is accurate, the rest I have worked over to make them shoot well. Trust me it is easy to make them beeter with little knowledge and money. Get yourself some books and give it a try, you will be surprised at what you can do. Hell one of my kids dropped one of them on the muzzle and messed up the end of the barrel, I cut it off with a dremmel and put a crown back on it and it shoots like a dream.
