Well i did not notice the color till i relized what i did. How i noticed was i used the same pin when target shooting. Then thought it throw. Could idea counting like you do

just forget the color i have different color pins to but i cant tell u what color is for what yardage. my pins go like this 20 30 40 50 if i have a 40 yard shot i just start at the 20 pin and count 20 30 40 then release if i relied on colors i (myself) would get confusede trying to remember what color was for what pin
