Mike - did you get out in the rain?
I didn't hunt this morning - last night, I got a call from a friend who gut-shot a doe and he wanted to know if Ruby was available. I said she was still in a "training mode", but that I would meet him and help look. Well, we found and marked sparse blood/fluid trail (about 20 yds worth), when another guy cut ahead to a thicket and spotted the dead doe. We left her be, and I went home, got Ruby, and started anew. Ruby hit the ~ 125yd trail and took about 2 minutes to get onto the doe - she did great. Sorry, no pics.
BTW, it was another data point for leaving a deer for >6 hrs if you ever suspect a gut-shot. Too many times, guys will jump the bedded deer, never to see it again.
