Didn't mean to hit him where I did, but there is an odd connection with this gun and as soon as the x hairs came into the 'vital' (he was 1/4 ering to me) the gun went off and he hit the deck. That's my oldes in the picture. She is having issues with understanding why I am not taking her bowhunting since she got her first taste of hunting last year....
Looks pretty close to a neck shot...CONGRATS! I'm a neck shooter and guess what?!?! They drop!!! I've only tracked one deer...she jumped as I pulled the trigger and it hit her in the shoulder...she ran 30 yards. NEVER had to track a neck shot! Great buck either way! I'm just saying...don't be ashamed of the shot placement. The reason most people don't try the neck shot is because they are not confident with their shot...there's alot more room for error on the shoulder shot but when you look at he size of the lungs and heart, it's no bigger than the size of the neck area!
