I too had a good morning. Git in my stand early, and quite. I had just knocked an arrow and I heard footsteps. Ofcoarse, first one of the year, my heart was pounding! Turned out to be a spike! Watched him for 20 min or so, then it was slow.. Then right when I was about to climb down, there was a doe.. She too was very young and small. So I opted to pass. All in all good day for me.
Oh ya, I too got the Sh*t scared out of me.. I was walking back to the truck, looking across the fence to the neighbors, I could see deer way off.. And then Bam two grouse jumped up right below my foot! I about fell over. I couldn't help but giggle a little. Stupid birds!
