It is for sure the Hunters safety class. It is a good program. though I am "grandfatered" I took it with my sons years ago and it was a good deal. It is a 2 day deal I think 4 hours each. Not big deal. You can get the info @ ODNR.Com. You will need it if you ever go out of state as most states out there require a Hunters safety card before they will sell you your permit. There is an apprentice lic. that you can purchase to enable you to hunt with a mentor before you get the hunter safety card. Its on the web site. Good luck and welcome to the world of hunting.
