RE: The brand new 185grn Lehigh.
I was using a different ballistics chart and the energy dropped below the 800 lb.mark at 180 yds with a 185 grn bullet. The b.c. on there site is for a 200 gr. bullet, and since the 2 bullets have the same exact design the b.c. for the 185 has to be less than .157. I am only pointing this out if you go by the minimum 800 lb. energy as a guideline. I think you could kill a deer easy enough at 200 yds with that load if you hit the vitals, even at less than lets say 700lbs. of energy. But the shooting circumstances are usually a lot less favorable hunting out of a tree or stand on a cold fall morning compared to sitting on a bench with sand bags at 70 degrees. If you get some shoulder at that range you may not feel so good about taking that shot. It is still an excellent 200 group, there's no doubt about it. I just dont think you should take that shot on a deer.
