letsgohuntin, I live within a short distance of 3 or 4 WMAs here in North Ga. and hunt them quite a bit. My advice to you is the same as if you were hunting a new piece of private land. Get and study maps of the loaction. Get out and do as much scouting as is practical for your circumstances. Get to know the Wildlife Technician responsible for the Management area(s) you are interested in. Contact the Wildlife Biologist that covers the management area you are interested in hunting to check out population densities and Buck to Doe ratios and other neat stuff, these folks love their jobs and are happy to talk to you about their areas. Check the August/September issues of GON magazine for hunter sucess information on the WMAs in your area. Go online to
www.gohuntgeorgia.com for more information on hunting in Georgia in general. Your WMA stamp is the best $19.50 you will ever spend. Have fun.
