I THINKthe 25-35 is obsolete pistol type round. Far less powerful than a 30-30. Ammo would probably be pretty expensive, if we can find it.
The 25/35 is a necked down .30/30. It was chambered by Win. in the Modle 1894, and by Marlin as well. It is NOT a pistol cartridge.

It shoots 117-grain bullets at 2200 FPS, so it is far less powerful than a .30/30. Yet it is a deer cartridge, and has accounted for lots of them. Ammo is hard to find these days, since oit is obsolete. But ammo can be made by resizing .30/30 brass. It is definitely a short-range proposition.
Good info, for some reason I thought it was in the 44/40 class of cartridges.
