Got the whole story and saw the bird from my dad when I got home.. He said the bird was strutting 20 yards from where my blind's gonna be . 25 pounds, 1 1/2" spurs, 12" beard. Damn, almost for me. He said there's no shortage of birds roosting close to where I'll be set, and they like to come strut where I'll be. I can't wait.
