Well we started of with hearing 7 gobblers. There was myself, my buddy and his step son. We got in the blind and they started gobbling like crazy. So we get one coming and naturally there had to be a couple hens that made their way to the wheat field. So the tom skirted us out of range going to the hens. So Tom number 2 appears and hes goin to do the same thing. Darn it. Well he gets just over a rise in the field. Can only see his Fan. So I call to him here he comes. Nope decided to go back over the rise. So I fire him up with some aggressive calls and here he comes again. Closing the distance to 30 yards. Hes not comin any closer so we decide its time to put him down. He was in full strut and I told my buddy I'll get his head up and tell the boy when to shoot. So I cut hard at him He stuck that old neck out there and gobbled and boom. The boy missed him

Darn it but thats hunting. He learned a few lessons this morning...
