Advantages:

-Flatter shooting at long range (no real difference inside of 100 yards)
-Less recoil

Disadvantages:

-None, provided your rifle will shoot them as accurately as the 240 grainers

The 10mm 200 grain XTP's have been very solid performers for me on deer. They're probably a bit light for anything bigger than deer, but that's not an issue for me. They also tend to be very accurate for most people when you find the right sabot/load combo.
