RE: March 2009 Musk Ox Bowhunt
The transporters walk a fine line by being a part of the actual hunt. Technically they are not allowed to touch the animal, take pictures, butcher, etc. For this hunt they allow the transporter to take you to the field in the general area of the musk ox, then transport you and your musk ox back to Mekoryuk. There are one or two guides on the island as well, and they pay the big bucks for going through the licensing, insurances, etc. so they try to separate the two services as much as possible.
Thanks for the congrats. I'll work on writing up the coastal brownie and arctic grizzly hunts in the next week or so. I've got a few other hunts as well, including a couple rifle hunts for moose and mountain goat.
