Kinda hard to say, Zrex..... Did the factory ammo chamber easily, or did it load hard? And you're real sure the chamber is 7mm-08, and using that ammo too, I guess...
Had the gun been shot before this time, and if so, were any problems experienced? Was the bore cleaned out well before you shot it, if this was the first time it was fired? A bore with heavy oil protection in it could build pressure, I would think, and cause "problems"....
Perhaps a gunsmith should take a look at it.....
