RE: Elk non draw states
Here in Texas you can hunt Elk all year if you so choose. Southwest/west Texas has a very large Elk population. All you need is what is called a five day exotic permit. That permit covers everything from Axis to Blackbuck to Super Exotics to Elk. It is $45.
