I have a Beretta 96, same pistol but 40 S&W, and like it alot.
Accuracy is very good but not the best. The trigger pull in single action is not too bad. The double action pull is very heavy.

I've also shot the Taurus makes in both 9mm and 40S&W. IMO the Taurus is a bit rougher in regards to fit and finish, the trigger pulls(single and double action)slightly heavier and the accuracy is average at best.

IMO the Beretta is better in all areas but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
