Default RE: Browning BAR

ORIGINAL: DJ2065

It's a grade 1 in 30-06 cal. No rust with a few dings in the stock and forearm. None of the dings have cracked the finish and are basically small indentions that are not noticeable past arms length......A grade 2 will have engraving on the receiver.
Mine is a grade 1 then as it doesn't have any engravings on the receiver.

I had a gun smith that's had several BAR's around here tell me mine was at least a $500 gun. Sounds about like the shape yours is in. When I bought almost 2 years back the gun shop was asking $550 and $223 for the scope. I got them down to $750 for both with tax and all. Not sure what they took the money off of. Don't know if it was the gun or scope.

I also just recently right before hunting season had someone tell me he would give me $625 for it. I was thinking of selling it and just used that as a starting figure. He offered $500 and I said I'd think about it. I then decided to just keep it and he told me well he'd give me the $625. At that point I had decided to keep it so let him know that.

I don't think I'd take less than $600 for mine however, I'm not sure I'd take that either as I like the rifle I just wish it shot tighter groups.

I'd say anywhere from $500-700. That's with no scope. I wasn't going to let my scope go with mine if I did sell it. I've seen them on gunbroker that high and higher.
