The lack of hunting pressure is a direct result of Alt's desire to over harvest the doe. I said from the beginning that the PGC had a responsibility to manage the hunters as well as the deer and they mismanaged both. Now we will more than likely repeat the same cycle we did in the past where after significant herd reduction the herd rebounded to higher numbers than we had before , but this time there will be a lot less hunters to control the herd.
