Well I thought I'd share my story here too. I have been deer hunting for about 15 years or so. I started hunting with my dad when I was about 11 or 12 but never got a deer until I was about 21.Back then I only hunted for the 2 week shotgun season and I didn't see too many deer, partly because I only hunted the weekend and didn't put too much time into it. I got my first buck when I was 21 (a7 pointer). It wasn't real big but it was the first deer I had ever had a chance to shoot at so I was so excited to get my first deer. Two years later I got into bow hunting so I would be able to hunt longer and that year I got my first deer w/ a bow. It too was small (5 pointer) but hey it was my first bow kill!!! After those I got a decent 8 pointer and had it mounted because it was my biggest buckto date. Since then I have been focusing on quality deer management. I plan on taking more does to control the herd (there's tons of them on our land) and only take bucks that are at least 3 years old or older. Sorry about the bad pics. I had to take a picture of old pics with my digital cam, didn't have a digital cam backthen!
