I am new to compound bows also, I bought the bear element at dicks for 199$(REG 299$)also had a coupon so I got it for 187$.Thenadded all the accessories I wanted. I love it. Its quiet ,shoots great
and is very forgiving as my form is still developing LOL....as far as speed and all that it really doesnt matter to me.Itwill put a deer down.. Good luck on your decision
