I didnt have a flexible tape, but we used my boot size 12 and almost got it to the otherrack. Look atthe frontview. Its absoloutely over 22-23 inches. 4 of us used hands, feet and a ruled, but no tape.
Boot Size??? I wear a size ten and just took a 15" plaque mount of my wall and placed my boot inside. My size 10 was almost 4" short of cover the inside spread. I still stand by the ear to ear measurement of 15-16 inches and that deer barely is past the tips of the ears.
