My son shoots a .243 with no problem. He is 11 in this photo but had been shooting it since he was 9. For kids at this age, I'm a fan of the single shotfor safety reasons. It also teaches them to make the shot count, although he can reload very quickly.

Congratulations to him.

I started with a 12 ga IverJohnson single barrel.
I got for helping my uncle mow his grass for a summer.

He qualifies for the 2008-2009 Firearm Contest.
