It was just a thought. Here in PA a projected light beam is illegal but not one directed onto the sight pins. You might also want to consider one of the tritium light pins for your sight. They generate their own light and last quite some time if memory serves me. Since there is not electricity involved I would think that they would still be legal in states that have restrictions on " lighted sights" .
