My bow is advertised at 330 IBO. I'm getting about 310, at best. Does anyone ever get advertised IBO speeds with actual arrows (you know...with fletching, correct spine, fieldpoint or broadhead, with a normal draw length bow and sound dampening devices (on the bow) installed)? I'd love a manufacturer to advertise speed with a real arrow. Most of the time, it seems you can subtract 30-50 fps in the real world. Not sure the arrow manufacturers need to keep up, since the manufacturers keep lying to us.
I work on a fellow's allegience that is shooting a 380gr arrow at 29.5" and 66#s that is shooting right near IBO, and over the bow's birth certificate by 15fps. I've put a lot of hours into that thing.
I'm shooting a 445gr. arrow, 29" (not including string loop) draw, 67#. I'm happy with the bow's performance, but IBO advertising is still BS. Wish I knew how you were getting even close to IBO speed with an actual hunting arrow.
