mine has the foam seat with some sort of heating cloth or something but its very very comfortable ive never tried the one with the air seat but it looks nice too the foam on mine is probably 2" thick and since its suspended with straps its very soft and comfy and like bo i use my forearms to climb it took me some getting use to and a little practice to perfect the technique though but i love my stand and i think you`ll be happy with your purchase
