Default RE: Squirrl hunting

ORIGINAL: rodclop

i never had any luck walking around squirrel hunting i go and find a god food source DTC said and sit down there and wait i don"t hunt with a shotgun a use a 22LR and shoot squirrels up to 60 yards but thats just how i was raised to hunt squirrels it works good enough for me.
Thats the way I do it, I find a creek or river bottom with tall trees, sit and wait, I have used a squirrell call with good success too, sit a while then start barking, it gets them up and moving and easy to locate. sometimes when you locate them in a tree they will stay on the other side hiding behind the limbs, stay put and have your buddy walk around to the other side and they will crawl around to your side for an easy shot.
