Default RE: What do YOU think would be a PERFECT HUNTIN BOW???

I agree with Frank........with all the smackdown my Patriot Dually is gonna hand out this season put aside I still do not feel it is THE PERFECT hunting bow for me for mainly the same reasons.
Getting close to the right idea in my mind........and accurate as heck, but the short valley and the stiff draw cycle are my biggest sticking points. For target/3D archery that short valley is actually a benefit IMO in the correct draw length, but in a treestand at a weird angle it can be a problem.
One of the major reasons why I' d recommend a 60# version of this bow....it' s just MUCH easier to handle.
I have a 70# model and will hunt with it from a treestand at 64-65# even tho on the ground drawing it maxed at 76# is not a problem.
The only way I would hunt with it at 70# would be from the ground for something like Elk or Caribou etc. where straight out target style shots are more of the norm.

I like the 34-35" ATA lengths
8" brace
VFT style limb/long riser configuration
Med/low wrist grip angle
If it was a " Perfect" world I' d want 360fps from a " Round Wheel" draw cycle 70-75% let off, and a hard wall but since I know that' s not happening anytime soon, I think I' d settle for a juiced up version of BowTech' s " Wheely" on this platform, or a tamed down ,smoothed out Patriot Dually.
Squeak 320fps IBO out of it with those specs, give it a 70% let off , nicer valley and a solid wall and sign me up.
(For those of you who haven' t shot a " Wheely" its a treat.)
I too would take a " Speed Cut" for a few more " Hunter Friendly" alterations.
