Default Video Shoots On Iowa State Ground...

As most of you may know I have just had one the best moments of a Dad's life capturing my daughter on video, shooting the buck of a life time. I am alsovery serious about my videography and utilizingthe footageto have it to view for the rest of our lives, distributing it for production to a hunting DVD or TV show. Well I postedthe results of mydaughters hunt on the Kiskyforum and a concerned member of the forum PM'd me as he saw that I had filmed this hunt on State Ground here in Iowa and informed me that he was under the impression that it was illegal to capture and distribute said footage and I should check into this with the Iowa DNR as not not get myself and daughter in any sort of trouble. I thank that person for informing me ofthis and my first thought wasthis was the most absurd law that I have ever heard of, and checked into it this morning as I have NO intention of breaking any law. After much thorough investigation I was informed that it is NOT illegal, infact one of the Supervisors in DesMoines stated "Where did you here that? That is the mostabsurd thing I have ever heard of and no it is not Illegial to video any part of the outdoors as long as you are not participating inany hunt or have a valid license if you are participating." Here is a great link that was provided to me by one of Hunter Specs finest... http://www.iowalifechanging.com/document/lifesrchdoc.asp?sm=0&sum=1&rheader=0&h eader=0&sl=0&cb=0&doctype=2&progra m=34Thanks Nate for the link, it is much appreciated and thanks to all of you that answered my emails, I was concerned there for a moment that I may not be able to use the awesome footage I captured!!!
I have found out though, that it is Illegal in Missouri to do the above mentioned on State ground, but that is not confirmed by their Conservation Office so if you do hunt and video in Missouri on state ground be sure to check into it first (again one of the most absurd things I have ever heard of)!!!
