It helps with straight fletch arrows...however....You probably can't even do it if you wanted. If you are shooting carbons I know you can't.

That old way of aligning heads was done when we used hot melt ferrule glue on the inserts. Now days it is epoxied in and the heat will only serve to damage the arrow. Won't loosen up.
