Default RE: Clothing ? for first time elk hunter

Thanks for all the replies so far guys. I have a pair of well broken-in Meindl Taiga boots(close to 15 years old or more), I plan to use, they are only 200 gr Thinsulate but i think with a heavy wool sock should serve me quite well. I also have a pair of 600 gr. cabelas boots i also plan to take. As far as clothing I was looking at a pair of wool bibs(not real heavyweight type). I think if i wore these over polypro. and a lightweight pair of camo pants for the horseback ride in and possibly all day depending upon the weather. I could shed the bibs if it gets warm enough during midday and when we aredoing lots of walking. As far as upper garments I plan to wear polypr. top then chamois or flannel shirt followed by a fleece sweatshirt/vest and then I havea Dri-Stalkwind/waterproof jacket made by Mossy-Oak as the final layer. Does this sound like a system that will get me by? Thanks again for all the great info so far guys!
