I'm not proud of it, but i made a poorly placed bow shot on a buck last seasonwith a grim reaper three blade mechanical broadhead.the arrow passed cleanly through too high and too far back.several days later i saw that deer with a group of does,bearing tufts exactly like those in the pictures! he was no worse for wear and was moving and feeding normally!.he would occasionally lick at the wounds,but otherwise showed no discomfort.I chose not to harvest the buck,as he had cheated his demise once, he earned his survival.this experience taught me a valuable lesson about shooting form and shot placement.(when you stop learning you stop living!).i think my signature line says it all!!.
