RE: New to bow hunting
Be sure your bow is a fit for draw and weight. Practice and actual shooting will dedicate your range. Be sure to practice with broad heads not just field points.
Form is more important then where the arrow hits until you have it right.
Ask some one who is experienced or go to an archery shop for guidance. If you have a video camera have someone tape you so you can view your form.
As for hunting.... scout but do not expose yourself in advance to the area you plan to hunt leaving your scent behind. Read as much as you can and talk to those who have experience in archery hunting.
