I have a remy 870 with a hastings cantilevered rifled slug barrell. This year I am going to switch from my red dot to a scope. Just a personal preference I guess. I shoot copper solids out of it with great groups @ 100 yds. But I would say red dot if its not attached to the barrell, and scope if the barrell is cantilevered.
