I'm no advocate of "No moving parts" as a rule of thumb......because I have COMPLETE trust in my compound bow....which has a LOT of them. It just seems hypocritical to say "I don't like moving parts" and still shoot compounds. THAT was my point.

If you're shooting modern equipment (compounds)....they've come a long way in the "dependability" dept. I trust mine implicitly. I think mechanical heads have come a long ways, too. When one fails me......I'll rethink my position. I won't let heresay or conjecture sway me into a BH choice.

If my setup will allow the use of a mechanical head.....and I wish to maximize my cutting surface.....I'll shoot one without a moment's hesitation (along with millions of other satisfied archers). For my traditional setup....I wouldn't dream of it.....for obvious reasons.
