RE: How far do you walk to your stand?
It depends on where I'm hunting. I've walked 75 yards and killed deer and I've walked uphill for45 minutesbefore daylight to escape the crowds on state land. There is no set distance. Some people beat themselves up unnecessarily and others just throw good sense to the wind over this. Different areas and different deer with different exposures to man and civilization require different things. If I could walk only 100 yards I'd be happy, but if I have to walk a half mile I'll do it. The trick is to know the difference and make it easy on yourself without buggering all the deer in the area up.
