ORIGINAL: Benelliboy
I was lucky enough to draw a shotgun tag for Iowa this year. It was my first year to apply so I was not expecting to get drawn. I have a muzzleloader that I will use for hunting field edges but I am leaning towards a shotgun when hunting the timber.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on the Benelli M2 in a 12 with the rifled barrel? I am close to buying one with the nikon BDC scope.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Not sure about the M2 but my neighbor uses a Benelli Super Black Eagle, saw him take and make shots i couldn't believe with that gun. took some does, hit them in the same spot in the spine and shot a 10 point buck running at 65 yards, put 1 slug through both lungs. I couldn't even believe what i had just seen, in fact i wouldn't believe it had i not seen it.
